Some hours ago, I downloaded the project from CVS and tried to install it. Now I have still the problem that the scripts complain "This GNUe tool requires PyXML to be installed" althoug I downloaded and installed it from sourceforge.net. Anything in mind about what I'm missing? How can I check if my installation of PyXML was successful? cvs is asking for pyxml still? When you mean the gtestcvs script -> yes! what platform are you running on? Suse Linux 7.2 on a sparc64 we must have missed removing that test as the xml included in python 2.x is now supported however some distros (like debian) split the xml off for some odd reason ok, I use phyton 2.1 so, what can I do to get a glimpse at gnuenterprise ? then you should be ok hmmm which app are you trying to run well I tried the scripts in /usr/local/bin (appserver, forms etc), but they're all complaining about pyXML this is from todays cvs? Action: jamest swore he removed all references to that in cvs I'm being called upstairs to dinner :( any chance you'll be around a bit later and we can get this working? ok, so have a nice meal! hopefully before I get back someone else will pop in and give you a hand i'm in europe, so i think i'll get some sleep now... but is there a more detailed description for installing the thing? really all you should have to do is run the ./setup-cvs.py in gnue root then it'll run from your $HOME/bin without requiring a full install it asks questions and gives sample answers I'll be back a bit later ok ,cu! sorry, must keep sig other happy :) OK, I tried it all over again, run the script eith the local options. in the ~/bin folder appear some scripts. when I try to execute gacvs, I get this PyXML error. when I try to execute the gvtest script and chose an options, I always get an error "ImportError: No module named xml.sax", except for the second choice, wehre I get the PyXML error. Perhaps you have an idea what I'm doing wrong? do you have the python xml stuff installed? perhaps you need to install another package ok, which one? is the xml stuff normally included in python? do you think I should download a newer version from python.org? well, I can't say for sure if it is or not, but I am thinking it's not in your case ;) look for an rpm first well, ok, i'll try do get a newr phyton, perhaps this one is a bit out of date or not completely installed. But you did not install any extra xml tools on your computer exhept the python package? Nick change: chillywilly -> ch1llyw1lly Nick change: ch1llyw1lly -> chillywilly jschmit: i might be able to help you later anyway, I have to leave now. I try to get a newer version of python...
