what distro? redhat 9 gnome 2 and you installed from source? yeah 0.5.0 or cvs? 0.5.0 As an aside I haven't set any path or system variables for GNUe are there any? no gnue should istall to /usr/local/gnue y then gnue-* scripts are created in /usr/local/bin that setup the environment you need they are also in place this looks alot like an issue we had with wx 2.2 that we seemed to not happen in wx2.4 are you referring to this wxPythonGTK-py2.2-2.4.0.7-1 yes I couldn't find any other rpm for redhat than that one, what is the compile from source like IIRC it's puking on the strings we're passing into the menu constructor easy/hard/issues/smooth? i'd hate to have you compile from source why 's that more work for you, it's in a non-standard place for other rpms that expect it in the normal place I see I can try and find a newer rpm i bet the issue is on our end we've got wx2.2isms and wx2.4isms and try to do the right thing That's cool... the wxGTK rpm I have here installed is the only one offered for python 2.2 on the wxPython site I see a bunch of mandrake rpms, is it going to kill me to try one of those on a redhat system?
