I hope that the only linux version will be WINE+MPLAYER, but after that AOL-Microsoft Deal... who knows I use rhythmbox and totem. I use mplayer, but I should check out totem. It uses libxine and gstreamer as its backends. cool. Its important to have the choice, as I know many movies just working with one backend correctly btw. is the packaging of gnue making progress? Ihaven't had a chance to sit down with jamest yet. =( I wanted to last Thursday, but found out I was going to be working from home for 6 days, so had to cancel to get ready for that. that's a pity. btw. are the newest debian packaging diffs in cvs, or where can I get them? I think I have that thing setup for apt-get source. I've been using DBS packaging, so it's not suitable to keep them in CVS ok. Using the DBS packaging is great, that opens the way for XXX_stolen_from_HEAD patches ;) Yup! It also means that there's a minimum of fuss in upgrading. Like, once we get all the different frontends worked out, I can get hit by a bus, and someone else can just drop the new tarball in place, add changelog entry and roll it. great. But I hope that there will be no bus, or we have to wait for HURD forever. jbailey: I tried to fetch the sources, but there is not source dir for gnue. Erp, sorry. I'll fix that. thanks :) I think it was only slightly different than the one in the archive. ok. I'll get that instead. jamest (~jamest@gw.math.ksu.edu) left #gnuenterprise ("Client exiting"). siesel: I'm spending a bit of time tomorrow to hack cdbs to have the dbs tarball functionality. Then I'll convert my home tree to use that instead. It has a much saner patch tree system. That will also be the basis for any snapshot type of system I setup . Although hmm. At that point I could more easily integrate the packaging into CVS again. good I'm not sure that's best though. I hate debian/ directories in upstream packaging. Plus it also means that whoever's doing the release will need to make sure that all the fiddling in the debian/ directories are done. the only advantage of having debian directories in cvs is that its easier to apply changes etc. Yeah. It should make backporting to woody easier, except that the tools I use for packaging are too new. And it also make the release process a bit harder. Action: siesel s getting tired (0:09) Have a good sleeps. =) thx, cu siesel (jan@xdsl-213-196-192-94.netcologne.de) left irc: "Client exiting" madness1_ (~mng@lobsang.informationintelligence.net) left irc: "leaving" jbailey (~jbailey@CPE0060082df811-CM014260028338.cpe.net.cable.rogers.com) left irc: "Client exiting" jamest (~jamest@adsl-208-191-38-130.dsl.tpkaks.swbell.net) joined #gnuenterprise. reinhard (~reinhard@M1259P028.adsl.highway.telekom.at) left irc: "There are two kinds of people: those who divide people into two kinds, and those who don't" mdean (~mike@CPE-65-28-72-76.kc.rr.com) joined #gnuenterprise. lxf (~agus_tea@202.73.120.115) left irc: ToyMan (~stuq@170-215-247-82.bras01.mdl.ny.frontiernet.net) left irc: "Client Exiting" sub_pop_culture (~link@129.210.184.56) left irc: Connection timed out jcater (~jason@w202.z065105010.mem-tn.dsl.cnc.net) left irc: "home" jcater (~jcater@cpe-066-061-083-220.midsouth.rr.com) joined #gnuenterprise. lupo__ (~lupo@p5085FE64.dip.t-dialin.net) joined #gnuenterprise. mdean (~mike@CPE-65-28-72-76.kc.rr.com) got netsplit.
