GTK 1.2 or 2.0? wx compiled with GTK 1.2 or 2.0? WX - which version? kg_kilo: the install documentation lists the installation requirements kg_kilo: as far as OS, most of the devs use Debian, but gnue is designed to be cross platform kg_kilo: so it would depend on your target audience ok, cross-platform design is ok, but when should one say that a feature works? kg_kilo: if your target audience is primarily windows users, you'll probably want to test forms in the environment like: dropdowns work quite well on a Debian-based Hungarian Linux distro, UHU, with WX WX over GTK 2.0 but kg_kilo: I think that is the requirement is it enough? or should I intall Woody ona machine to test it? and what about GTK? kg_kilo: If you would read the install documentation, it's all there: python2.1-dev python2.1-egenix-mxdatetime libwxgtk2.2-python python2.1-psycopg (if needed -- for PostgreSQL support) python2.1-mysqldb (if needed -- for MySQL support) no working dev machine here sadly... so cant read install doc, but will do tomorrow debian is best bet jcater and I run sid not sure what others use reinhard runs woody reinhard + johannes btami runs windows IIRC Action: Vee runs from the blinkn lights as for which GTK i dunno the one that works w/ sid's wx windows install :) I think jan runs GTK2 i seem to recall woody needed updated gtk to run native driver well, btami runs win and UHU too same setup for him as mine but we thought of throwing in a woody test machine if its a test unix box I'd lean toward sid yes mainly because some gnue features don't work on the python woody defaults to as you'll have to grab backports otherwise did i say unix I have it running on two Gentoo boxes, runs great and all needed packages are available i meant linux or would someone run a test for me? if i can gfcvs -u wx anywhereitisplaced/gauntlet.gfd and gfcvs -u gtk2 anywhereitisplaced/gauntlet.gfd how do they behave on the second page regarding ENTER hits? does focus move between entries? wx yes what does it do when focus is on a dropdown and ENTER is hit? gtk2 no until now it behaves then the same as on UHU-Linux dropdown wx - focus change gtk2 - dialog opens ok, then it is the same UHU ? Hungarian distro, Debian-based thanks James ah and how should forms behave regarding ENTER hits? should focus move when ENTER is hit? iirc that is an gnue.conf option gack --configuration-options is broken wa? sigh Error: option --configuration-options requires argument somebody change the way it worked? oops probably a typo when I was fixing some spacing issues in that file you fix or should I i'm there now but then it is fawwwlty, as you run gauntlet and it behaved differently on wx and gtk2 err, I mean when derek was messing w/it if you like if you see it, fix it I'm web'n kg_kilo: not really jbailey (~jbailey@dragonfly.fundserv.com) left irc: "Client exiting" i've always been of the mindset that any UI can set it's own behaviour as long as it's consistant hmmm, then I'll check that tomorrow it may be a bug but it all depends on what the author of the gtk2 driver wanted btw having spent nearly a month examinig Forms code I dont remember anything like that ie behavior dependency on conf setting regarding enter but I will check it jbailey (~jbailey@dragonfly.fundserv.com) joined #gnuenterprise. kg_kilo: i think i was thinking of EnterIsNewLine which only effects multiline text yes, that is a config option, i can affirm that jcater (~jason@w202.z065105010.mem-tn.dsl.cnc.net) left irc: "home" good night all kg_kilo (~kg_kilo@fw.i-trade.hu) left irc: havoc (~havoc@CPE-65-31-107-254.wi.rr.com) left irc: Remote closed the connection havoc (~havoc@CPE-65-31-107-254.wi.rr.com) joined #gnuenterprise. havoc (~havoc@CPE-65-31-107-254.wi.rr.com) left irc: Remote closed the connection havoc (~havoc@CPE-65-31-107-254.wi.rr.com) joined #gnuenterprise. jcater (~jcater@cpe-066-061-071-147.midsouth.rr.com) joined #gnuenterprise. jbailey (~jbailey@dragonfly.fundserv.com) left irc: "Client exiting" Nick change: bddebian -> bddeb_bbiab jcater (~jcater@cpe-066-061-071-147.midsouth.rr.com) left irc: "Client exiting" jcater (~jcater@cpe-066-061-071-147.midsouth.rr.com) joined #gnuenterprise. jcater (~jcater@cpe-066-061-071-147.midsouth.rr.com) left irc: "Client exiting" LuftHans (~lufthans@wsip-68-107-221-207.ph.ph.cox.net) left irc: Read error: 110 (Connection timed out) jcater (~jcater@cpe-066-061-071-147.midsouth.rr.com) joined #gnuenterprise.
