*** bluesbaron_ has left #gnuenterprise right it's working quite well except the dropdowns have difficulty with focus-handling but i think i can fix this hehehe, those evil dropdowns all other stuff was a bit tricky but it seems as if it's ok now i look forward to using it, i like it better than wx hi that's because wx is ugly & nasty :) and wx is just an other layer between us and our beloved processors... hi ajmitch that's right, we should have an xlib driver, draw our own widgets! well, one major problem is the missing of a layout manager and i'm thinking about introducing some tags into gfd i could not sleep (sunburnt again...) and i was thinking about how we could reuse gfd files with regards to i18n i mean there is a gfd, presumably in english and how we could use it to show in eg hmmm, saami hmmm there must be something which generates/translates gfd in order to execute them something like a forms-server or 'appserver' so that if we develop "standard" packages with forms, they could be reused anywhere one should just provide a translation file for the form and whoaaa, it would show in his*/her language maybe navigator could introduce some logic to this problem i think during parsing it could be handled, based on layout entries' name it could map you mean in a GFParser-run ? ah, there is our euro contingent wide awake :) * holycow waves mornin or noon or whatever :) it's 11:30 a.m. here in austria :) ayes, there exaclty strange, it is 11:31 here 8-))) hi holycow @weather LHUD kilo_: Error: No such location could be found. 2.24 am here :) 9:32pm here... hey aj i was also awake at 2.24 am, just sitting on the balcon and looking at them stars hi holycow i hope your somewhere near the mediterrenian kilo :) i was looking to go to south france this year, but then i checked out the prime season prices and had to pass on that idea :) hehe why? i hate hot weather... i's prefer scottish wheather ehe :) i live in vancouver canada, it rains here allthe time too and its always cloudy except for te last two years its been weirdly nice sounds perfect heh :) actually i've gotten used to the warm rain its nice and even all year round it is 27C here, all sunny by afternoon it will be aroun 33-35 C it's freezing here ouch! holyfuck we never hit that, jesus that's quite warm i'd say closer to toasty i love our air conditioner... i bet, i havent seen those temperatures since i moved from toronto johannesV: what do you think about my idea you mean the GFParser thing ? aye well, it's not bad, but you would have some sort of datasource holding all translations and you need a mechanism for defining translations: does one 'name' have the same translations every time ? or is there something like a context it looks for a translate= line in conf file, and then gfdName. file shoudl be next to the original gfd and that would hold translations like =urduCorresponding well, than you would have a lot of gfd-files ah, no, i see you would only specify the translations yes for each gfd only in the needed language so it would only double the number of files for a given location hmm, but this require every object in the gfd file has a unique name yes i'm used to omitt names completely in gfd's cause they're not used anywhere to be exact, only in the layout part *** kilo_ has quit IRC *** Amorphous has joined #gnuenterprise *** kilo_ has joined #gnuenterprise *** johannesV_ has joined #gnuenterprise *** johannesV has quit IRC *** gsoti_away has left #gnuenterprise bah, i hate focus stuff ... :) but now i've to solve the mouse-movements only and than i'm done with it ... gtk2 driver is on it's finish line ... ...and then whoops... *** gsoti_away has joined #gnuenterprise *** kilo_ has quit IRC *** kilo_ has joined #gnuenterprise * johannesV_ taking the notebook and leaving for the garden ... :) back in 5 minutes *** johannesV_ has quit IRC *** johannesV has joined #gnuenterprise *** jamest has joined #gnuenterprise *** johannesV has quit IRC *** johannesV has joined #gnuenterprise *** johannesV has left #gnuenterprise *** bluesbaron_ has joined #gnuenterprise *** bluesbaron_ has left #gnuenterprise *** bluesbaron_ has joined #gnuenterprise *** bluesbaron_ has left #gnuenterprise *** sjc has joined #gnuenterprise *** bluesbaron_ has joined #gnuenterprise *** sjc has quit IRC *** sjc has joined #gnuenterprise *** mixi has joined #gnuenterprise *** sjc has quit IRC *** kilo_ has quit IRC *** bluesbaron_ has quit IRC *** gsoti_away has left #gnuenterprise *** bluesbaron_ has joined #gnuenterprise *** bluesbaron_ has left #gnuenterprise *** jamest has quit IRC
