Does anyone know what happen to the setup-pgsql.sh script? This is the script that SachaS references in his document "How to create GNUe application". hi tiredbones its outdated sup dudes? * chillywilly is now running Ubuntu and had his first automatic update notice on the gnome notification panel...that was pretty nifty tiredbones best you follow gnue-appserver documentation *** bluesbaron_ has joined #gnuenterprise *** bluesbaron_ has left #gnuenterprise chillywilly: do you like ubuntu i have been meaning to check it out *** johannesV_ has joined #gnuenterprise derek: Ubuntu is cool why? SachaS I'm going to use gnue-appserver doc, but I think your doc will help noob to get up and running sooner. tiredbones, that doc does no longer apply in a few words the procedure looks like this: a) create a new database using: gnue-schema --createdb gnue.gsd I tried Ubuntu, I didn't care about not having root and using sudo all the time you wanted to enter soom commands. (gnue.gsd is located in appserver's share driectory) b) import your gcd-files (like sample.gcd) and that's it (this will create all tables for you and updates the class-rep) if you have the latest svn from appserver you won't have to do the last step even cause appserver has a 'modulepath' now you can set this to a directory where all your gcd's and gld's are located and appserver imports these on startup or sighup automatically (of course modulepath can contain multiple dirs, separated by semicolon: foo;bar;some/other/dir; ....) and these dirs are scanned recursively (respecting symlinks if supported by the os) modulepath can be specified either on commandline (gnue-appserver) or in gnue.conf-secion 'appserver' hope this helps ... :) *** johannesV has quit IRC Well, I scrached everthing and I'm starting over. Thanks for advice. *** jamest_ has joined #gnuenterprise *** tiredbones has quit IRC *** tiredbones has joined #gnuenterprise Is there a differene between gettext and Gettext? I have gettext, but not Gettext. *** jcater has quit IRC *** aries has joined #gnuenterprise hi kilo, are you online? kilo: I've got a half hour all: I've read the Developers* but the most of the explanation are missing all: eg in the appendix of the forms' DevelopersGuide.sxw there are missing of the prequery's comment and most of the techdocs are missing and I cannot develop without it :( I'm playing with the idea of EMAIL package, and I see the gsd -s, but they were a dumps (tabledata) not table definitions (tables), and in all of them missing the definitions of foreign keys, primary keys etc. so it would be nice if anyone who can dive deep inside gnue's implementation drop some words for the developers thanks :) I hope you're reading the logs :) My second question is that the DevelopersGuide is generated by a tool? If it is, what tool should I use for documentation? (above the Oo.org:) bye *** aries has quit IRC *** jcater has joined #gnuenterprise *** dimas_ has joined #gnuenterprise hi all *** tiredbones has quit IRC *** tiredbones has joined #gnuenterprise *** Flusher has joined #gnuenterprise hi hello Flusher *** lekma has joined #gnuenterprise hi all *** dimas_ has quit IRC is there a roadmap somewhere about this project ? each tool has a roadmap on the website ok thx *** btami has joined #gnuenterprise hi al all hi jcater: i'm testing gue-invoice with Char/universal and notice 2 bugs 1. it's not started with PageHeader 1. the objects x position is not good btw. i like your cleanup and refactoring of rendering code s/1. the/2. the :) @seen derek btami: derek was last seen here 3 hours, 49 minutes, and 39 seconds ago saying: i have been meaning to check it out hah, derek was here! derek: DCL DCL DCL DCL DCL DCL DCL DCL DCL DCL DCL DCL *** titopbs has joined #gnuenterprise *** SachaS has quit IRC btami: yeah, I committed a broken driver but it was on my laptop and I was afraid if not committing what I'd done as I have lost code before because I didn't commit it :) *** johannesV_ has quit IRC derek: buntu is pretty cool, onyl thing is I don't know what this obsession with the 3 naked models is ubuntu jcater: ok, thx for info *** reinhard has joined #gnuenterprise * reinhard is surprised to read his name in the logs *that* often... lekma: that error message looks much like you use a rather complex data structure as a parameter or return value of a procedure that contains an object reference actually it should have never worked to pass an *object* for procedures you can pass the gnue_id (as a string) instead reinhard: you are a popular man, but I still say my appserver can beat up your appserver ;) bah hehehe I'm j/k man then my appserver's brother is stronger than your appserver's brother :-o and my appserver has much more bytes in it's tarball! oh yea! chillywilly: I'm j/k man <- me too :-) well my dad can beat up your dad actually that would be an intersting feat considering my dad is dead really love those stories like boy a: you don't even have a dad boy b: i've had more dads than you! lol how many kids do you have reinhard ? 2? 2 girls oi boy a: my dad is so strong, he climbed the mount everest boy b: my dad is so strong, he killed the dead sea heh do you think it's cheating to be running Ubuntu instead of debian sid ;)? hey at least they can make a realease in 6 months ;) frankly I would recommend Ubuntu for the desktop over debian installing it is a piece of cake and the "just works" experience is fascinating yea I like it what's with the naked people though ;)? it's "art" or something... well I guess yes heheh there seems to have been much discussion about that I don't really care what's wrong with naked people? I like naked people I was lobbying them on their IRC channel to use "randy rhinoceros" as the next code name :) especially young, hot, female varieties there's 2 of them and one guy jcater: then you should try Ubuntu there's a desktop theme called "ubuntu calendar" where you get a new picture every month yea I was using that the black woman is on the wallpaper baled up on the bottom right corner balled for february anyway probably off for today *maybe* bbl a bit :) http://brisgeek.com/etiquette/ the ubuntu "naked" people *** spencer_ has joined #gnuenterprise *** spencer_ has quit IRC night all *** btami has quit IRC *** titopbs has quit IRC *** dimas has quit IRC *** SachaS has joined #gnuenterprise *** reinhard has quit IRC *** jcater has quit IRC Do I have to install PHP on my Sarge system to get Gettext package?
