<reinhard> and the connection between postfix and postgres seems to break from time to time
<reinhard> resulting in postfix asking "is postgresql running locally ...."
<reinhard> but it works for a time, then suddenly breaks

<jamest> what i'd be tempted to do (and what I did for mailman)
<jamest> was write a common based python script to creat the text files I needed
<jamest> s/mailman/majordomo2
<jamest> it wasn't real time but it was good enough(tm)

<reinhard> fwiw, connecting postfix to postgres over tcp/localhost instead of socket helped
<wendall911> reinhard: I use proxy:mysql with postfix and it makes connections persistent....I assume you could do the same for postgresql

<kilo> jcater: I've been fiddling with Designer recently, ie enabling the 'Run form' function again. It is basically working, it launches the form and the output window, then closes ok.
<kilo> But then if i exit Designer, it doesn't unload, but needs a Ctrl+C to really exit.
<kilo> Should i commit it in this state? Coulde you take a look at it if i do commit?
<jamest> iirc this means you've got a wx(Frame?) that wasn't released
