I would like to see the report example from the application server example, but running it through gnue-reports gives again an XML file. How can I display that? you can use the --filter option (short option is -f) gnue-reports --list-filters shows you the available filters thanks. should at least be possible to generate csv, html, pdf, and plain text hm. --list-filters doesn't show the filters but complains about a missing report definition file. yes you have to add the sample.grd appending sample.grd gives only cvs and raw depending on the report there can be different filters available ok hmmm * reinhard is not exactly an expert in reports the availability of filters depends on other installed packages nope. everythings working as you said. I've tried to modify something and didn't restore first ah so you got more filters in your list now? raw, csv, html, pdf, and text. excellent :) *** tiredbones has joined #gnuenterprise *** lekma has joined #gnuenterprise hi everybody hi lekma *** btami has joined #gnuenterprise *** reinhard has quit IRC *** reinhard has joined #gnuenterprise *** kilo has quit IRC *** havoc has quit IRC *** havoc has joined #gnuenterprise I seem to have messed up something. I'm trying to dump all tables from gnue with "gnue-gsdgen -o all.gsd" but am getting "No option 'null_first_asc' in section 'common'" What might I have done? reinhard, the classrep uses dictionaries for modules, classes, properties, ... which has 'case-insensitive' keys so a 'foo_bar' is treated the same as 'Foo_Bar' i've created a dictionary-wrapper class which behaves like a normal dictionary can't this class go into common somewhere ? and if so, where ? maybe in datatypes.CaselessDict or in utils.CaselessDict ok, i'm fine with utils so i'll move it over there ... *** jamest has joined #gnuenterprise bbl ciccio: FYI, I've been able to reproduce the bug you found with querying countries and then trying to save a person. OnChange can do a lot of things, like create a new instance for another class or sending a mail etc OnInit is called quite often when you use gnue-forms, it's callled whenever the form is "cleared" for some reason so if OnInit does an assignment to self.foo and OnChange does something external to the current instance whenever foo is changed, sorry phone the original instance (being initialized) is not dirty yet (so doesn't get saved on a commit) but the stuff happened in OnChange is (so will get saved), leading possibly to inconsistent state or, in short: it is forbidden to do things outside of self in OnInit, but via OnChange triggered by OnInit this might happen accidentally or, in yet other words: it could well make sense to not consider setting things to a default value as "changing" *** SachaS has joined #gnuenterprise *** wendall911 has joined #gnuenterprise hallo zusammen hall reinhard hi SachaS johannesV: if you read the logs, what would you think about OnChange being not triggered during the OnInit run? reinhard: back i'm ok for the change i'm just afraid that we relied on the actual behaviour in some OnChange so it would break things for me but nothing that can't be repared s/repare/repaired (not sure of english repare/repaire) ok, so if johannesV also thinks it would be good then I'll do it reinhard, ok, go for it. everything changed within an OnInit is treated as clean 'default' then *** titopbs has quit IRC *** jcater has joined #gnuenterprise *** sjc has joined #gnuenterprise *** johannesV has quit IRC *** lekma has quit IRC *** titopbs has joined #gnuenterprise *** sjc has quit IRC *** jamest has left #gnuenterprise *** tiredbones has quit IRC *** ciccio has quit IRC *** tiredbones has joined #gnuenterprise *** kilo has joined #gnuenterprise *** jcater has quit IRC hi kilo how are you? hi SachaS been watching poker championship... these uys are fantastic how are you? and where are you atm? in florida, next to the beach in miami, actually *** wendall911 has quit IRC *** titopbs_ has joined #gnuenterprise *** titopbs has quit IRC *** kilo has quit IRC *** michael_301080 has quit IRC *** titopbs_ has quit IRC *** titopbs has joined #gnuenterprise *** titopbs has quit IRC reinhard is still working :) not for very long though :) night all *** reinhard has quit IRC *** SachaS has quit IRC *** dcmwai has joined #gnuenterprise *** titopbs has joined #gnuenterprise *** tiredbones has quit IRC *** jcater has joined #gnuenterprise *** holycow has joined #gnuenterprise *** dimas has quit IRC *** holycow has quit IRC *** dcmwai has quit IRC
