Were there special reasons to put that info stuff in a separate file, or was it just the reason that the actual driver source can't be imported if the DBSIG2 module isn't installed? reinhard: the latter so we could always import Info.py regardless of whether the actual dbdriver could be loaded or not jcater: ok, thanks jcater: so as I've solved that importing problem (had to solve it for epydoc - it also tries to import the modules to get the docstrings) there would be no reason any more to merge the drivers back into a single file? s/to merge/not to merge/ I suppose not ok thanks *** sjc has joined #gnuenterprise you said something about you dreamt of datasources sending out events for masterchanged, beforeCommitInsert and such stuff, right? yeah that would mean you have a GDataSource.setEventController and if you had done that, that event controller would get all these events and dispatch it to whomever wants to know about it? makes sense, yes ok btw, do you follow my changes in common in any way? I tried reading the commit logs last night when I got back into town but there were something like 160 messages since I left town a week ago :) oh well, I use to commit in small chunks and try to use reasonable commit messages no. that's good I just got behind on my reading ok you would shout if you saw something moving in a direction you'd consider wrong, wouldn't you? you know me I don't mind complaining :) ok:) *** dcmwai has joined #gnuenterprise *** dcmwai has quit IRC *** johannesV_ has quit IRC *** dcmwai has joined #gnuenterprise *** lekma has quit IRC jcater: I was wondering, with your guidances, if I could try to work on the documentation in gnue-froms? What I would like to do it dump the Concept Guide, nothing in it. Combine the Developer's Guide and the Technical Reference into one manual. Call this new manual User's Guide.
