<dere1> in 45 minutes (including download and configuration time) was able to make decent little database application

<jcater> I decided to try Rekall a few weeks ago
<dere1> with another few hours of "clean up" work could probably make it have decent validation and such
<jcater> on the surface, it looks almost identical to gnue-forms
<jcater> uses python for triggers, etc
<jcater> but a 7 field form
<jcater> generated a 210 line XML file

<jcater> where 180 or so of those lines were pre-generated triggers

<jcater> I've just about given up on being able to code on gnue anymore
<dere1> for some reason the wizard made my date field be max size 4
<dere1> but then when i dragged a date field off the schema viewer
<dere1> it made it a typecast="date"
<dere1> which gave behavior i wanted
<dere1> so in the end being able to inspect the .gfd source and hand edited fixed things nicely
<dere1> i would like to do a ton of work with gnue for the soccer club
<dere1> as i think we are moving to all linux
<dere1> too busy at work to code gnue?
<dere1> or giving up on it?
