<lekma> vcxmlrpc sucks
<lekma> jsolait is better
<lekma> (choosing between jsolait1 and 2 is a matter of taste)
<lekma> the javascript xmlrpc i've come up with from scratch is the fastest of them
<lekma> but still the python components beats them all
<lekma> i think that you could use the GNUeRpcClient i've written for your firefox extension
<lekma> and if you have some time to lose i would like to see my findings comfirmed, or not, by some more tests from someone else
<lekma> so for now i will stuck with the python component
<lekma> and i'm started on general a framework for "appserver module" extensions
<lekma> on a side note, i believe the javascript xmlrpc client i wrote could be faster (but it will demand some skilled xpcom practionner, whom i'm not)
<lekma> and on the overall gnue appserver could be faster with a json-rpc implementation to replace xmlrpc

<lekma> if you open gnuexul.xul and gnuexul.js
<siesel> I've got the gfd parser running and working on some date time routines at the moment

<lekma> there's an xml parser
<lekma> which uses xml objects
<lekma> way faster
<lekma> than parsing xml strings
<siesel> ok, so it directly uses the DOM returned from the HTTPXMLRequest ?

<lekma> you still have to provide responseXML
<siesel> ok, i will look at the code
<lekma> but next version will be dom compliant
