*** johannesV has joined #gnuenterprise good morning *** reinhard has joined #gnuenterprise *** btami has joined #gnuenterprise good morning good morning *** johannesV_ has joined #gnuenterprise *** johannesV has quit IRC *** kilo has joined #gnuenterprise *** johannesV_ has quit IRC *** johannesV has joined #gnuenterprise *** jamest has joined #gnuenterprise *** kilo has left #gnuenterprise *** btami has quit IRC how stable is forms head? and the wx driver in particular 2.6 the dropdowns the the old wx driver have started causing us lots of issues *** klasstek has joined #gnuenterprise apart from the fact that I'm messing with forms a little right now head should be perfectly usable, and wx26 should be possibly the most stable driver of all (which shouldn't mean that you *won't* hit bugs...) :) *** SachaS has quit IRC hmmmm 2.6 computes spacing a bit different than 2.4 did doesn't it yes it does ah, and I think you might hit the same problems as you did with the gtk2 driver spacing depends on the biggest control of the form, IIRC reinhard, no spacing depends on the biggest control possibel erm possible depending on the platform used ah ok it's odd looks like spacing might not take pages into account? so it's global for all tabs on a form? ? what johannesV said: it does not depend on what controls are there on the form *** derek has quit IRC it just takes standard entry size, standard button size, standard dropdown size and takes the biggest of them so no control will get chopped and no control gets streched .... (which looks as ugly as well :) it really increases the horizontal space usage though like on a rows=10 it looking like whitespace is doubled yes hm, in the horizontal the space depends on the current app-font (taking in account the average character-width) wx driver used to chop for example dropdowns and buttons oh * reinhard mixed up horizontal and vertical ;-) ok, i was going to mention vertical too :) *** johannesV_ has joined #gnuenterprise johannesV_: I wonder whether widgetWidth and widgetHeight point sizes could be a configuration option and if set override the auto dectected widget sizes hm that doesn't work well as for whatever reason themes effect forms here should be handled quite well if there are layoutmanagers ... right a form that fits on user A's screen doesn't on User B's ok, I agree that the only real solution is layout management i'm not reporting this as a bug, just confirming behaviour a button simply *isn't* of the same size as an entry i have a list of real bugs/feature issues i'll bring up after test opening all the forms :) :) but I guess I could start :) the two biggest things stopping me from opening forms are 'integer' is not valid for typecast-attribute which allows these values only: 'date','text','number' 'boolean' is not valid for typecast-attribute which allows these values only: 'date','text','number' hm , but that should have been fixed ... quite some time ago ah, no, not at all ... that was the thing with ValueSet is svn working ? I'm running svn head from this AM seems as if my svn update is hanging ... checking wtf? it's updating ah, ok, didn't see the commits from this morning yeah, worked fine johannes@chicago:~/prj/gnue$ svn update ssh: connect to host svn.gnuenterprise.org port 22: Connection timed out svn: Netzwerkverbindung wurde unerwartet geschlossen. i'm not able to update svn ... probably getting blocked in the AT&T closests we're not supposed to know about :) ok, i've to run now ... bbl can you ssh in to the server at all? ok, l8r yes, login in via ssh is ok bbl *** reinhard has quit IRC *** johannesV has quit IRC *** lupo__ has joined #gnuenterprise *** jcater has joined #gnuenterprise *** lupo__ has quit IRC *** derek has joined #gnuenterprise *** reinhard has joined #gnuenterprise *** flock- has joined #gnuenterprise reinhard: is there a reason we don't don't support typecast= boolean or integer in gfd fields?
