<nickr> logo image, draw a line, write some text
<nickr> it'd be nice if I could just slap an svg/eps in there

<jcater> you can use PIL to load the EPS and convert to a bitmap for reportlab

<nickr> thats not as nice as actually sticking the eps in there

<nickr> Yeah, I was going to just make a 300dpi jpeg of the letterhead
<nickr> but it'd be smaller, probably, to just stick the image in there
<nickr> and compose the letterhead with text/line ops

<jcater> a 300DPI full-size image would be horribly slow
<jcater> I do have a pretty good conversion utility for converting stuff like letterhead into reportlab source code
<jcater> but he's on my payroll :)

<jcater> imho, that's the one big pitfall of reportlab
<jcater> no support for importing vector art or other PDFs
<nickr> although it takes forever to printbecause the image is big.
